2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy

The 2016–17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a first-class domestic cricket competition in Pakistan that started in October 2016. Sixteen teams are competing, with twelve of those automatically qualifying from last year's tournament based on their performance. The other four places have been allocated to teams who came through a qualifying round. Ten of the matches, including the two Super Eight fixtures and the final, are to be played as day/night games, in preparation for Pakistan's tour to Australia in December 2016.
