The 2016 San Francisco Giants season was the Giants' 134th year in Major League Baseball, their 59th year in San Francisco since their move from New York following the 1957 season, and their 17th at AT&T Park. They advanced to the postseason as the second National League Wild Card, and defeated the New York Mets in the Wild Card Game. They were defeated in four games by the Chicago Cubs in the Division Series.
