2985 Shakespeare, provisional designation 1983 TV1, is a stony asteroid from the outer region of the asteroid belt, about 10 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered by American astronomer Edward Bowell at Lowell's Anderson Mesa Station in Flagstaff, Arizona, on 12 October 1983. The minor planet was named after William Shakespeare (1564–1616), the English renaissance dramatist and poet.
