Acklam, Ryedale

Acklam is a small village and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England although it is historically part of the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is situated approximately 12 miles (20 km) north-east of York city centre and 6 miles (10 km) south of the town of Malton. According to the 2001 UK census, Acklam parish had a population of 183, reducing to 168 at the 2011 Census.
