Adelaide Strikers (WBBL)

The Adelaide Strikers Women's team is a cricket team based in Adelaide, Australia that will compete in the inaugural women's Twenty20 Women's Big Bash League commencing in December 2015. They will be one of 8 founding teams. They are a franchise aligned with the current men’s competition (Big Bash League) - adopting the same colours and team name. The team is coached by Andrea McCauley. On 15 September 2015, Shelley Nitschke announced that she will be returning from retirement to take on a dual role with the Adelaide Strikers, as both a player and an assistant coach.
