Agoranomos
Agoranomos (Greek: ἀγορανόμος, plural: agoranomoi, ἀγορανόμοι) was an electable official position in the cities of Ancient Greece and Byzantine Empire that controlled the order of the marketplace (agora, hence the name, translated as "market overseer"). A polis could have several of them.
