Alliance for the Republic (Nicaragua)

The Alliance for the Republic (Spanish: Alianza por la República - APRE) is a right-wing liberal-conservative Nicaraguan political party founded in 2004 by dissident liberals from the Constitutional Liberal Party (PLC) and the Conservative Party (PC) including Enrique Bolaños, who was President of Nicaragua at the time (10 January 2002 to 10 January 2007). As of 2006, APRE is part of the Nicaraguan Liberal Alliance (ALN).
