Amma is an Indian crime drama television series, which premiered on 25 June 2016 and broadcasts on Zee TV. Created by Farhn P. Zamma, the series airs from Friday to Sunday for one hour. The show is touted to be based on the female underworld don of Mumbai, Jenabai Daruwali. Urvashi Sharma used to appear in the female lead role before the generation leap in the series. As of now, Shabana Azmi portrays the lead role.
