Bahreliya/Barholia/Bahrauliya/Bahrela are a small sect of Rajputs found in Barabanki district and neighbouring districts. They claim to be Bais and Suryavashi Rana (Sisodia). There are also some suggestions that some of the people came from Bansi Gorakhpur and were Sombansi. They all were called Bahrelia, in Barabanki, Taluqa Surajpur Bahrela. In some reference it’s mentioned that they were retired soldiers from different places.
