Bahun
Bahun (Nepali:बाहुन) is a local term for the Nepali Bhasi traditional Vedic Brahmins of Nepali people, Indian Gorkhas, Lhotshampa Bhutanese and Burmese Gurkha peoples. Vedic Brahmins are traditionally priests, educators and scholars. By tradition and, until 1962, civil law, they represent the highest of the four Hindu varna, or castes.
