British Association of Canadian Studies
Begun in 1975, the British Association for Canadian Studies (BACS) is one of a number of international scholarly groups dedicated to academic study of Canada. In 1981 it was one of the first to become an associate member of the International Council for Canadian Studies (ICCS). The ICCS receives Canadian federal funding and distributes some of this to associate groups.
