CSK VVS Samara

CSK VVS Samara was a Russian professional basketball team, based in Samara, Russia. The club was formally patronized by the Russian Air Force (VVS). The club is a 2-time bronze medalist (third-place finisher) in the Russian Super League, in the years 1997 and 1998. In 2007, Samara won the FIBA EuroCup championship. The team could not participate in the 2009–10 Russian Super League season due to bankruptcy and was replaced by Krasnye Krylya Samara.
