Carolyn Goodman (politician)

Carolyn Goldmark Goodman (born March 25, 1939) is an American politician. She has been the mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada since 2011. She is the wife of former mayor and attorney Oscar Goodman, and the second female mayor of Las Vegas. She earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Bryn Mawr College in 1961. Carolyn and Oscar Goodman moved to Las Vegas from Philadelphia in 1964. She graduated the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1973 with a master's degree in counseling. She received the 2009 Commitment to Education award from the United Way of Southern Nevada.
