Castel di Iudica

Castel di Iudica (Sicilian: Castel di Jùdica) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) southeast of Palermo and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) west of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,758 and an area of 102.3 square kilometres (39.5 sq mi). The municipality of Castel di Judica contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Giumarra, Carrubo, Cinquegrana, and Borgo Franchetto.
