Columbia Grafonola

The Columbia Grafonola is an early 20th century American phonograph. Grafonola derives its name from an internal horn disc Graphophone, which was introduced in 1907 and was mass-produced by Columbia Graphophone Company. Prior to 1907, majority of Columbia phonographs depended almost exclusively on an external horn to shape and direct the sound. By 1912, internal horn machines such as Grafonolas became widely available and were outselling the external horn models.
