The Croatian Premier Handball League, known as Dukat Premijer liga for sponsorship reasons, is the top handball league in Croatia. Sixteen teams currently comprise the league. The league was formed in 1991 with the dissolution of the Yugoslav leagues. The league is operated by the Croatian Handball Federation.
