Değirmencik, Nusaybin

Değirmencik is an unpopulated village in Nusaybin district of Mardin Province, Turkey. The Yezidis made up 95.0% of the village's population. Beyond the Yezidis in the village, there are also Christians and some Muslims. It is called "Qolika" in Kurmanji dialect of the Kurdish language. During the most of the 1970s, 80s and 90s, Değirmencik Yezidis were migrated to Europe, mostly Germany. As of 2000s, most homes are demolished. The village is now unpopulated because of the mass emigration from here to Europe, especially Germany.
