Film Collection is an annual screening event in New York City and around the world; a showcase for new independent films by emerging filmmakers; and a significant initiative to raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations. Founded by filmmaker Topaz Adizes in March 2006, the events take place at the IFC Center. According to Adizes, "our mission is to build a worldwide audience that empowers themselves to impact their communities. We believe that by telling stories, we are creating greater understanding of the world we live in and reminding ourselves of our shared humanity."
