Google Daydream

Daydream is a virtual reality (VR) platform developed by Google. It was announced at Google I/O 2016 and will be released in November 2016. Contrasting from Google's first VR platform, Google Cardboard, Daydream will be built-into the Android operating system starting with the release of Android 7.1 Nougat. The platform includes both software and hardware specifications, designating compatible phones "Daydream-Ready". Google has also announced a VR mode in Android N to handle high computation needs of virtual reality apps. It will be the first VR platform to incorporate material design. Google plans on enhancing some its stock Android apps to be VR apps. Google's Daydream View headset is priced at $79, which is less than most of its competitors in the market.
