In the past Grande Holdings has purchased several Japanese HiFi manufacturers including:Akai, Nakamichi and Sansui. It also owns Kawa a Chinese domestic hifi company, and had owned Singer Corporation, a company best known for its sewing machines. The company has since sold off Singer as a brand.
