H. James Shea, Jr.
H. James Shea, Jr. (c. 1940-1970) was an American politician. He served as a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. He was opposed to the Vietnam War, and he drafted a bill challenging its constitutionality, thus enabling Massachusetts residents to ignore the draft. He committed suicide by gunshot at the age of 30 in 1970 at his residence in Newton, Massachusetts, as a result of "political pressure".
