H45 Battleship Proposal
Although the H44 was the final serious battleship proposal undertaken by Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine, there was a request by Adolf Hitler to enlarge the H-design to allow it to field a navalized version of the Gustav 80 cm siege cannon. The proposed vessel would have been the largest vessel ever built, eclipsing the Seawise Giant in tonnage and length.
