Hayes and Harlington Urban District

Hayes (from 1930, Hayes and Harlington) was a local government district in west Middlesex, England from 1904 to 1965. The local government district was created in 1904 - originally as an urban district, Hayes Urban District - covering the Hayes parish transferred from Uxbridge Rural District. In 1930 the district acquired the parishes of Cranford and Harlington from the disbanded Staines Rural District. It was at this point that its name was changed to Hayes and Harlington Urban District.
