Idaho Youth Ranch

The Idaho Youth Ranch (IYR) is a non-profit, multi-service charity in Idaho, USA which provides "troubled children and families a bridge to a valued, responsible, and productive future” (excerpted from the IYR Mission Statement). IYR began in 1953 by the Reverend James and Ruby Carey Crowe. The vision was to be an alternative to incarceration, institutionalization and hospitalization of children. What began as a working ranch located outside of Rupert, Idaho has grown to providing a range of services across the state.
