ITVS (formerly Independent Television Service) is a service in the United States which funds and presents documentaries on public television thru distribution by PBS and American Public Television, new media projects on the Internet, and the weekly series Independent Lens and Global Voices on PBS. Some ITVS programs are produced along with organizations like Latino Public Broadcasting and KQED. In 2010, ITVS launched FutureStates, a series of fictional short films that present intriguing visions about what life in America will be like in decades to come. ITVS is based in San Francisco.
