Indo-Aryan migration theory

The Indo-Aryan migration theory proposes that the Indo-Aryans migrated from the Central Asian steppes into South Asia during the early part of the 2nd millennium BCE, bringing with them the Indo-Aryan languages. The theory proposes migrations originating from the Sintashta culture, which moved through the Bactria-Margiana area, into the northern part of the Indian subcontinent (modern India, Pakistan and Nepal).
