International eGames Committee
The International eGames Committee (IEGC) is a not-for-profit organisation which has been established to positively shape the future of competitive video gaming. Its goal is to have national pride to be the supreme prize in video game tournaments. It is similar to be the Olympics of eSports. Other mainstream video game tournaments consist of tournaments that require big money budgets in order to attract eSports talent to compete in their tournaments. There is a group of specific members who create the Board that regulate good governance and inclusivity for future video gaming events. The IEGC is responsible and was formed as part of the London Games Festival on April 6, 2016. It is backed by the UK government.
