Khulna City Corporation (Bengali: খুলনা সিটি কর্পোরেশন - in short: KCC), Khulna Municipality established in 1884, is one of the major divisional city corporations of Bangladesh. Before its establishment as city corporation, it was a municipal corporation in 1984. Current mayor of KCC is Md. Moniruzzaman Moni who was advocated by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) succeeded by Talukder Abdul Khaleque who was in power for 5 years (2008–13). Basically, Khulna City Corporation is a formation under the local government administration of Bangladesh to regulate the city area of Khulna, which is under the Ministry of Local Government & Rural Development (LGRD).
