Krasnobakovsky District

Krasnobakovsky District (Russian: Красноба́ковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,757.8 square kilometers (678.7 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Krasnye Baki. Population: 22,524 (2010 Census); 26,047 (2002 Census); 27,151 (1989 Census). The population of Krasnye Baki accounts for 32.4% of the district's total population.
