Leighton Schubert

Leighton Paul Schubert (born c. 1982) is a lawyer in Caldwell, Texas, who is a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 13, which includes Austin, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lavaca, and Washington counties. On February 17, 2015, he won a special election to succeed fellow Republican Lois Kolkhorst, who was instead elected to the Texas State Senate. Schubert won the runoff contest for the House seat by defeating fellow Republican Carolyn Cerny Bilski (born c. 1953) of Sealy in Austin County, 6,352 (57.2 percent) to 4,763 (42.9 percent).
