The High Commissioner of Australia to Kenya and Permanent Representative of Australia to the United Nations Office in Nairobi is an officer of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the head of the Embassy of the Commonwealth of Australia to the Republic of Kenya in Nairobi. The position has the rank and status of an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and also holds non-resident accreditation to Burundi (since 1987), Rwanda (since 1987), Somalia, Tanzania (since 1987) and Uganda (since 1965).
