The Enid released some singles as part of their contract with EMI, and some that they released themselves.All of The Enid's singles were released on "Anarchy On 45" in 1996, however some of the masters of their singles were lost in a fire in 1988 at Claret Hall Farm meaning that vinyl or tape copies had to be used. The singles: 665 The Great Bean, Fool, Golden Earrings and Skye Boat Song however, were included on The Stand - Volume 2 (1985) and The Enid have the masters of this album digitally stored on Betamax F1 tapes. The master of "Letter From America" also exists because it was a single from Something Wicked This Way Comes.
