Market–Frankford Line

The Market–Frankford Line (MFL) (also called the Market–Frankford Subway–Elevated Line (MFSE), Market-Frankford El (MFE), the El, or Blue Line) is a rapid transit line in Philadelphia. It is operated by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). It runs primarily in an east-west direction between the 69th Street Transportation Center in Upper Darby and the Frankford Transportation Center in the eastern portion of North Philadelphia. The line takes its name from two major thoroughfares in the city: Market Street where it runs elevated through West Philadelphia and underground in Center City, and Frankford Avenue where it runs elevated along the easternmost portion of the line to its terminus in its namesake neighborhood.
