Mary Desha (1854–1911) was a founder of Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the daughter of John C. Breckinridge.This is an error, according to "Kentucky Death Records, 1852-1963," Mary Breckinridge, was wife of Anson Maltby and died 13 March 1928 in Lexington, Fayette, Kentucky. After Desha's death the first memorial service ever held in Memorial Continental Hall was held for her by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Mary Desha Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution is located in the District of Columbia.
