Ministry of State Security (Russia)

The Ministry for State Security, or MGB (Russian: Ministerstvo gosudarstvennoy bezopasnosti; МГБ, Министе́рство госуда́рственной безопа́сности; IPA: [mʲɪnʲɪˈsʲtʲɛrstvə ɡəsʊˈdarstvʲɪnnəj bʲɪzɐˈpasnəsʲtʲɪ]), was created in September 2016, under the Presidency of Vladimir Putin, which combines the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), and the Federal Protective Service (FSO).
