The monetary reform in the Soviet Union of 1961 (known as the "Khruschev's reform") was carried out since January 1, 1961. Internally the denomination was 10:1, with all prices, salaries, etc., changed on the same scale. However the gold standard was increased only 4.4:1, making 1 US dollar equal to 90 kopecks. Copper coins were not exchanged, however prices were rounded up.
