National Malala Peace Prize

The National Malala Peace Prize is a Pakistani peace prize for those under 18 years old. It was originally named the National Youth Peace Prize and awarded to Malala Yousafzai on 19 December 2011 by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani for her services towards promoting girls' education in her hometown of Mingora in the Swat Valley, where the Taliban had banned girls from attending school.
