Neocirrhites armatus

Neocirrhites armatus, the flame hawkfish, is a species of hawkfish native to tropical reefs of the Pacific Ocean at depths of from 1 to 10 metres (3.3 to 32.8 ft). This fish reaches a length of 9 centimetres (3.5 in) TL. This species is also found in the aquarium trade. It is the only known member of its genus. It is bright red with black dorsal markings. Like most hawkfishes, the flame hawkfish lacks a swim bladder. It is a percher and a bottom-dweller, living on and about coral heads and stony reefs.
