Old Bar, New South Wales

Old Bar is a coastal town in New South Wales, Australia in Mid-Coast Council. It lies around 16 kilometres (10 mi) east of Taree on the Mid North Coast, and around 315 kilometres (196 mi) north of Sydney. Old Bar is at the mouth of the Manning River. The Manning River is a "delta" river, having more than one outlet to the ocean; one at Old Bar, and one at Harrington, 14 kilometres (9 mi) to the north. Before exiting to the ocean, the Manning River carves out several large islands, including Oxley Island and Mitchells Island.
