Organisation for Women of Asian and African Descent

The Organisation for Women of Asian and African Descent (OWAAD) was an activist organisation for British black and Asian women founded in 1978, founder members included Stella Dadzie and Olive Morris. It has been called "a watershed in the history of Black women's rights activism". OWAAD disbanded in 1982 for a variety of reasons.
