Palace Theatre, Redditch

The Palace Theatre is a theatre in Redditch, England, in a Grade II listed building, one of the six working theatres designed by Bertie Crewe. It opened in 1913. It is an example of Edwardian theatre and has received a major refurbishment restoring the theatre to its original state. Funds and grants were provided by Redditch Borough Council (£3M), and £920,500 as part of a £4 million scheme from The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The Palace building has been used as a variety hall, a cinema, a roller-skating rink, and a bingo hall. Since 1971 it has been used exclusively as a theatre.
