Pilipinas HD is a concept of veteran sports broadcaster, former Teledyaryo anchor of NBN Channel 4 and "Time Out" of 24 Oras segment host Chino Trinidad. During its test broadcast started on June 12 (Philippine Independence Day) until August 31, Trinidad rented a satellite space to all cable and DTH satellite operators to be able to watch by the viewing public free of charge.
