Pochinkovsky District (Russian: Починковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,960.6 square kilometers (757.0 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Pochinki. Population: 30,668 (2010 Census); 33,788 (2002 Census); 38,192 (1989 Census). The population of Pochinki accounts for 38.8% of the district's total population. The district was established in 1929.
