Francesco Guardi (Italian pronunciation: franˈtʃesko ˈgwardi; October 5, 1712 – January 1, 1793) painted the Regatta in Venice in c.1770. It is a small oil on canvas painting measuring 48.6 x 78.4 cm which is now in The Frick Collection, New York. The painting was gifted to the museum by Helen Clay Frick, the daughter of Henry Clay Frick, who founded the Frick Collection. It is currently on display in the reading room of the Frick Art Reference Library, which was founded by Helen after her father's death.
