Robin Camp

Robin Camp (born August 18, 1952) is a judge of the Federal Court in Canada. Camp has been criticized for his comments during a rape trial and was the subject of a high-profile removal hearing before the Canadian Judicial Council for his role in a 2014 sexual assault trial that he presided over. During the inquiry, a leading feminist law professor described his questions as not very sensitive, but in context were clarifying positions brought up by both the prosecutor and the defense: "A leading feminist law professor says a judge who asked an alleged rape victim why she did not keep her knees together raised the question in response to queries from the prosecution and defence about the facts of the situation rather than out of the blue."
