Same-sex marriage in the Faroe Islands
The Faroe Islands is currently the only Nordic territory not to recognise any form of same-sex unions. Legislation allowing civil same-sex marriage and adoption was approved by the Løgting on 29 April 2016. The bill currently awaits ratification in the Danish Parliament before going into effect.
