Samuel Rockwell
Samuel Rockwell (April 18, 1803 – December 25, 1880) was an American minister and politician. Rockwell, second son of Alpha and Rhoda (Ensign) Rockwell, of Winchester, Conn., was born in that town, April 18, 1803. In 1862 and 1869 he represented the town in the Connecticut Legislature; and in 1865 he was elected to the Connecticut State Senate, and as senator became ex officio a member of the Corporation of Yale College. He served as Treasurer of the Savings Bank of New Britain for many years after its incorporation in 1862.
