Santa Rosa Junior College

Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is a community college located in the city of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County, California. Founded in 1918, it is the tenth oldest community college in the state. Santa Rosa Junior College was modeled as a "junior" version of nearby University of California, Berkeley. That is why the SRJC mascot is the Bear Cub. It was intended to be a feeder school for the University of California system, and still is to this day, with a special program designed for the direct transfer of students to various campuses in the UC system upon the completion of certain prerequisites. SRJC is operated by the Sonoma County Community College District.
