Scarborough crossbow attack
Three people were killed in a driveway and garage in the Scarborough section of Toronto on August 25, 2016. A man was stabbed in the neck with a crossbow bolt, another stabbed in the neck with an arrowhead and a woman strangled with a ligature. Whether the weapons that killed the men were fired or held is unclear. Two other people were injured and a 35-year-old male suspect was arrested. The suspect in the killings is Brett Ryan, who has 16 prior convictions related to a 2008 bank robbery string.
