Sissinghurst

Sissinghurst is a small village in the county of Kent in England. Originally called Milkhouse Street (also referred to as Mylkehouse), Sissinghurst changed its name in the 1850s, possibly to avoid association with the smuggling and cockfighting activities of the Hawkhurst Gang. At the 2011 Census the population was included in the civil parish of Cranbrook. The nearest railway station is at Staplehurst.
